Meet Dr. Oates

Dr. Oates decided to become a dentist in the second grade and never looked back. She obtained her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Georgia and graduated with her DDS (doctorate of dental surgery) from the Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Dr. Oates worked for a year at a pediatric clinic in Chicago and for several years in private practice in both Franklin and Columbia, TN. Her varied background allows Dr. Oates the ability to give you the most effective treatment possible.

Dr. Oates volunteers her time in the community to help those who are less fortunate. She participates regularly in Interfaith Dental Clinic and also donates her time with Loaves and Fishes, an outreach program that feeds the homeless.

Dr. Oates is married to a Navy veteran, and they have two beautiful girls, Olivia and Annie and her beautiful boy Teddy. In her spare time, Dr. Oates loves to bake, spend time at the family beach house in Oak Island, NC, and hike with her family. They are avid college football fans.

Dr Nisha Waits

Nisha Waits, DMD

Meet Dr. Waits

Dr. Waits received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Science from Florida State University and was awarded her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. She was born in Greensboro, NC but grew up in beautiful Destin, FL. She and her husband fell in love with Nashville while her husband attended Vanderbilt University for graduate school in 2011 and love being a part of this community.

Dr. Waits is committed to establishing trust with each patient by listening carefully to their individual needs so she can deliver the highest quality of care in a compassionate, painless environment. She is constantly looking to expand her skills and is a member of a number of dental organizations to further this goal, including Spear Study Club, Southern Women’s Dental Study Club, and the Nashville Dental Society.

Dr. Waits is married to an Auburn/Vandy graduate. She has a son, Crew and a daughter, Chloe. In her free time, she enjoys fitness, spending time at the lake, walking outside with their dog Tucker, being active in her church, and serving the underserved in our area through volunteering at the Interfaith Dental Clinic.

Dr. Lidia Lilly

Meet Dr. Lidia Lilly

Dr. Lilly received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Loyola University in Chicago, IL and graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, followed by completion of a one year Advanced General Dentistry Residency program.

Dr. Lilly subsequently served in the United States Air Force at Eglin AFB in Ft Walton Beach, FL for three years. She then became an associate dentist in a large group practice in Tallahassee, FL. Eventually, she and her husband relocated to Franklin to raise their two children, Katrina and Adam, and to be closer to family.

As an empty nester, Dr. Lilly is enjoying time traveling and being active in her church. Besides reading and gardening, she has a love for all things dog!

Meet Dr. Rose Keeling

Dr. Rose Keeling is proud to call Tennessee her home. Having grown up in Nashville, she attended Christ the King Grade School and Father Ryan High School. After her childhood and adolescent years in Nashville, Dr. Keeling attended Butler University to earn her double Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology and French. After her time in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dr. Keeling enrolled in dental school at the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Keeling has always seen herself as a dentist ever since she was in grammar school. She picked the career of dentistry as early as the 4th grade! During her time in Boston, Dr. Keeling earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree and graduated with cum laude honors. Dr. Keeling pursued her post-doctoral residency training in Advanced Education of General Dentistry at the Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. During her time in the Northeast, Dr. Keeling developed the skills and comprehensive knowledge to treat patients with all types of dental needs. Prevention and patient education are of utmost importance to Dr. Keeling. Dr. Keeling’s goal is to create a comfortable, calm and trusting environment for all her patients.

Dr. Keeling has professional affiliations with the Eighth District Dental Society, Tennessee Dental Association , American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and Boston University Alumni Association.

To be the best dentist for her patients, Dr. Keeling believes that being a life long student is important. She is often taking continuing education courses to learn the latest and greatest techniques in dentistry. She also enjoys giving back to the community and volunteers at the Interfaith Dental Clinic in Nashville.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Keeling spends most of her free time with her lovely family and husband, Tom Keeling, who is a pediatric dentist. They have two sons named Thomas and Liam. Dr. Keeling enjoys gardening, reading novels, baking and traveling.  She also loves college basketball and is often cheering on the Butler University Men’s Basketball Team! Go dawgs!  She is happy and excited to be back in the Volunteer State.
